Our Introductory Spearfishing Course is designed for those wanting to get into the sport but don't know where to start or have just started but wextra knowledge to progress faster.
- Course cost will be $295 which includes:
- 2 theory sessions covering equipment, physiology and safety as well as diving and hunting techniques.
- 1 pool session covering breathing and diving techniques as well as loading spearguns (I still have to convince the pool to let us shoot them)
- A day on a charter boat to apply what you've learnt as well as looking at site selection, target species and, all going well, filleting, recipes and cooking
- Use of spearguns, floats, floatlines and stringers
- Course Timetable:
- Tuesday 5th Oct - Theory Session 6:00 - 10:00pm
- Wednesday 6th Oct- Theory & Pool Session 6:00 - 10:00pm
- The Sea Day will be held on the first weekend after the class sessions with good weather. Once back at the beach, early afternoon, we will fillet & cook our catch and maybe even have a few beverages by the BBQ.
Time & Location to be confirmed during the course as it is weather dependant.
