Pt 1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\t\t\t\t\n<p>&amp; NO &#8211; not on the same day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.diveski.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/20220317_173034-1-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2943\" width=\"204\" height=\"306\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Travelling to the bottom of the South Island &#8211; Te Wai Pounamu was just the start of a unique club dive trip.<br><br>After a quick tour up Bluff Hill to see where we were headed for our long weekend and the obligatory photos at the signpost we headed out to dinner.<br><br>With two milestone birthdays to celebrate, a 21st and a 50th, we ate cake &amp; lots of it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next morning we were up bright &amp; early &#8211; excited to start the main event &#8211; cage diving with Great Whites and Shark Experience Bluff.<br><br>Fortunately the winds had dropped and as the sun rose we headed out to the Titi &#8211; Mutton Bird Islands, near Stewart Island.<br><br>On arrival it&#8217;s time to set up the cage and wait &#8211; patience is a virtue they say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.diveski.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/275462234_351346766928953_454411534886884809_n-Copy-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2945\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.diveski.co.nz\/blog\/?attachment_id=2945\" class=\"wp-image-2945\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.diveski.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/20220318_134551-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2946\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.diveski.co.nz\/blog\/?attachment_id=2946\" class=\"wp-image-2946\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.diveski.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/20220318_092534-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2947\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.diveski.co.nz\/blog\/?attachment_id=2947\" class=\"wp-image-2947\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.diveski.co.nz\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/20220318_120426-Copy-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2948\" data-link=\"https:\/\/www.diveski.co.nz\/blog\/?attachment_id=2948\" class=\"wp-image-2948\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The first shark arrived pretty quickly but apparently we weren&#8217;t interesting enough for him and he left before the second group entered the water.<br><br>After an anxious wait and a change of location the sharks came back, Yeah!<br>With 4 sharks to keep us entertained we stayed in the water for the next 3 hours as we took turns in the cage watching these incredible animals.
