Dive Club Wellington Updates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We have definitely missed out on settled weather and great visibility this season but our divers have taken up the challenge and still gone out diving. There have definitely been some fun dives had and some unique marine life spotted around Wellington including a Barracouta at Island Bay. We are all looking forward to our Thursday Night Dives starting up again this month!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 5 dives a week, we are Wellington’s most active dive club<\/a>. With 5 dives on Thursday evenings and weekends. Please book a day or two prior to the dives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Club Trips 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are still trying to coordinate several national trips<\/a> – who would have thought that confirming a boat & accommodation for the same week would be so hard! So keep your eyes peeled for some new trips and share your ideas if you would like to dive a certain location or want to complete a certain style of diving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do have a Coromandel Liveaboard<\/a> dive trip planned for King’s Birthday Weekend so let us know if you are keen to explore some new dive sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With winter approaching it is a good time to think about your tropical dive holiday for 2025. Claire is heading back to Gizo in the Solomon Islands<\/a>\u00a0in August – renowned for great reefs and WWII wrecks. Paddy missed out on the sharks this year so we will be returning to Beqa Lagoon, Fiji\u00a0<\/a> in September<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Gain new skills and confidence to explore the underwater world with the PADI Advanced Open Water Dive Course<\/a>. This certification allows you to conduct deeper and more complex dives and is often required by dive resorts. Start with the online theory so you can review this at your leisure and prepare for your first dive. There are 5 sea dives to complete for certification. Our 3 compulsory dives are Peak Performance Buoyancy, Underwater Navigation & Deep Diving. You can then select 2 optional dives from our range of adventure dives including photography, marine ID, night diving & using a DSMB!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
