A Divemaster is primarily a “dive leader”, who leads and is responsible for the safety of other certified divers. They organise groups, logistics, and manage any issues that might occur. Dive Masters are responsible for the planning, dive briefings, rental gear allocation, boat coordination as well as the activities underwater. PADI Divemasters are also able to assist Instructors with courses, and run ReActivate & Skin Diver programs.

Knowledge development is covered on line and in class discussions, workshops, & practical assessments are run in both the pool and open water. You will develop the skills necessary to organise and run a variety of scuba diving activities working alongside other Dive Master Candidates, Staff and our Divers. A PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor is able to teach PADI's core training courses from Open Water Diver up to PADI Divemaster level. Although the primary role of an Instructor is to teach you may also have responsibilities with guiding certified divers and in retail advising on courses, trips and equipment.
If you are a people-person and you like to teach, then this is the role for you.
