Happy Birthday Dive & Ski HQ

It’s hard to believe we have been based here in Wellington for 6 years already!

Tomo and Claire returned from Cairns to start up Dive & Ski HQ in 2005. It was great meeting so many regular club divers, training new divers and sharing the great diving Wellington has to offer with everyone.

There are a few more challenges diving here in Wellington – the weather is the main one of course, but we are truly lucky with the variety of dive opportunities that exist here. With several coastlines, islands, harbours and wrecks to explore the diving is never boring. We are one of a few countries that still allow hunting on SCUBA which is bad news for the crays and scallops but great for the dinner table. In Wellington we are also lucky to have two marine reserves, Kapiti Island and Taputeranga along the South Coast, which are making an amazing difference to the marine life that we see underwater. These reserves are well worth exploring by all our divers.

We have a great team of Instructors with a variety of dive experiences here and around the world who love to teach and are keen to take you diving.
Our full time instructors are probably familiar to you but we will introduce them anyway:

The team here at Dive & Ski HQ would love to see you diving again soon. If you have any suggestions for trips and other activities that you would like to try please let us know and we will try to help.
